My First Blog

So, I've never blogged and I don't even know where to start. So, I'll just start with one of these little questionnaires I copied from my sister's blog:

4 jobs I’ve had
(boring, who really cares?)

4 TV shows (that I will admit to liking)
1. The Office
2. Seinfeld
3. Monk
4. JAG (Dress whites. Need I say more?)

4 favorite foods:
1. Frozen Yogurt (the tangy kind! Mmmm. . . nommm. . . nommm. . .)
2. Fish
3. Philly steak and cheese
4. Fresh berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, also pomegranate, which is not a berry)

4 Favorite restaurants
Cafe Rio
P.F. Changs (lettuce wraps, great wall of chocolate. . .)
Ottavio’s
Carl’s Jr. (sometimes you just need a good western bacon! And the have a play place.)

Places to visit:
1. Africa
2. Italy
3. New Zealand
4. Lithuania

4 Favorite Movies:
1. Tommy Boy
2. Madagascar
3. What About Bob?
4. The Cutting Edge

4 most important things (that I can think of at the moment)
1. Family
2. God
3. BYU football
4. Running

8 things that happened yesterday
1. Went to the gym
2. Went to Carl’s Jr. with Kath and her kids (and my kid)
3. Got a sewing machine from Grandma Brown
4. Chased ‘lil Paul around the house
5. Gave ‘lil Paul a bath
6. Talked to my mom on the telephone
7. Read books to ‘lil Paul
8. Mopped my floor (my least favorite chore ever!)

10 things on my wish list: (I changed it to 10, because I have a lot of wishes! In no particular order. . .)
1. That my mom would never have to worry about anything ever again.
2. That I could have babies without being pregnant
3. To always live close to my family and Paul’s family.
4. Another car with free, unlimited gas so I could drive wherever I want (especially to Kath’s)
5. To know my grandparents better before they passed away.
6. That my house was always as clean as Kath’s.
7. Perfect skin and a good singing voice (I know you’re thinking that these things should be separate, but back off –it’s my list! J )
8. The knowledge, ability, and resources to fix the heart aches of the people I love.
9. Paul IV (and future children) will make good choices and have joy.
10. That BYU would rip the Utes’ hearts out on November 22!! Go Cougs!

8 things I look forward to:
1. Paul being a dentist!
2. Owning a home with a dishwasher.
3. Going back to Ohio in a few weeks!
4. Having teenagers (I know this sounds ridiculous, but for some reason I’m excited about it!)
5. Running a marathon.
6. Paul IV starting nursery in February!
7. Having more children.
8. Seeing the Coug’s win a BCS game.

6 Quirky things about myself
1. I cannot stand for the milk to be out. When I pour milk on my cereal, I do it with the fridge door open and the milk goes immediately back. I will not drink milk that has been out for more than a minute or so.
2. I have to crack each “toe knuckle” two times before I go to sleep. I cannot sleep if I don’t do it.
3. When I run I absolutely cannot stand anyone to be on my right side. I feel super uncomfortable, even claustrophobic. When I ran cross country I could only pass people on the left and I would not let anyone pass me on the right. I need my right arm free! My husband loves to try to run on my right side- I can’t stand it. Either I speed way up or I edge him out.
4. I am so terrified of spiders that I often scream even when people (in plain view) move their fingers in a spider-like manner.
5. I never learned to tie my shoes correctly. I made up my own way and people tell me it looks ridiculous.
6. In general, I am one of the most disorganized people I know. However, I love things to be arranged in rainbow order if possible. I do this with crayons, pens, markers, and especially the clothes in my closet. I often spend a good deal of time debating where exactly to hang a striped shirt in my closet. (i.e. if it has more than one shade of pink stripes, I have to make sure that it is touching other shirts with similar colors.) I even bought one purple shirt, which I never wear, so it could complete my closet rainbow.
